In 1969 my parents Curt and Norma Hames, moved me, my brother and sister from Bangkok, Thailand (by way of Goodman, Missouri) to Marion, Iowa to sell manufactured homes (back then called "mobile homes"). 
As a 9-year old, I was always amazed at how Hames-The Homes People could take a full-size house and move it with a big truck, called a toter. As we move a beautiful double sectional home from our display center in Marion today, I am still in awe. I really admire our incredible service techs. They are well-trained, certified and licensed to move manufactured homes over city streets and highways - and do so efficiently!
Yes, yes I know it's kind of a pain when you get stuck behind one of these magnificent structures on the highway. But next time, please take a moment to look at the solid walls, beautiful siding and shingled roofs.
